For a couple of days i’ve been monitoring the fedex website constantly watching for updates to the arrival of my ‘package’, I was super excited to see that they were delivering IT early this morning! :D So I couldn’t sleep… and after 4 hours of watching The Bourne Identity (got up to supremacy) I got a call downstairs!
The single most greatest invention since slice bread was at my apartment lobby. :)
And now a new addition to my family of lenses, (drum roll) Canons biggest achievement, the EF 70-200mm F2.8 IS USM II!!!
looking posh on my bed
The lens is an absolute beast at 1.5kg it is absolutely weighty, like holding a tank shell, superb build. Its sexy maximum aperture is at 2.8 absolutely bokehlicious! one of the biggest advantage this lens has to brag about is its stiff as a rock double image stabilizer! And finally it couldn’t be complete without an Ultra Sonic Motoring focus system.
To summarize this lens ”this lens is one hot sexy bad mutha of a lens and every paparazzi’s wet dream.”
Along the way to the zoo
After editing a couple of wedding photos i decided to head to the zoo for the day, to do some test shots using 'papa bear'.
couldn’t find her brother…

The image quality of this lens is second to none, with great range I can take incredible close up shots and with such a low aperture I get ridiculously low depth of field, the background melts beautifully. I can’t wait to give the lens a try in the field! :)
It’s been awhile since my last post as I am currently back in Adelaide to finish up Uni! Honestly I never did want to come back, but since I’ve got my Camera it’s made me motivated to explore Adelaide and all its churches…. If you’ve ever been to Adelaide you’d know its a small city and the best shots and places to visit are really outside of the city, places like Pensfold winery, Glenelg beach, Flinders Range wildlife reserves, Victor harbor practically outdoorsy things.
